Our Process

Cell Texturing

Cut silicon wafers are cleaned in a hot solution of sodium hydroxide to remove surface slurry. Next, wafers are textured in a diluted mix of sodium hydroxide and isopropanol. For polycrystalline wafers, acidic texturing provides a more uniform etch rate.

Cell Etching

The edge isolation process removes the phosphorous diffusion around the cell edge to electrically isolate the front emitter from the cell rear. Wafers are stacked atop each other, then plasma etched using CF4 and O2.

Auto Soldering

Soldering quality is the key to slowing module degradation and increasing reliability. Automatic, robotic-enhanced soldering ensures the consistent high quality.

Lamination

Module quality and durability hinge on the lamination process, where solar cells are encapsulated in the structure of glass, backsheet and EVA.

Inspection

Visual inspection is performed to ensure quality workmanship and defect-free modules and frames.

Cell Diffusion

A coating containing phosphorous is applied to the wafer surface to start the emitter diffusion process. The wafers are then put in a belt furnace to diffuse a small amount of phosphorous into the silicon surface.

Cell Printing

Screen-printing a paste containing cutting agents over the antireflection coating allows the metal contacts to fire though the coating and bond with the underlying silicon. This simple process also boosts efficiency by contacting emitters that are more shallow.

Before Lamination

We conduct an EL (electro-luminescence) examination before lamination to prevent damaged or low-grade cells from entering the manufacturing process and tainting our products.

Because of high pressure exerted during lamination, another EL exam identifies any possible micro-cracks on solar cells.

Flash Test

Every piece of solar module is tested for I-V curve and standard electrical power ratings.
